La Propia Network is a podcast I host with a deep desire to engage in conversations with women artists and creators who are generating new ideas and possibilities from diverse territories and contexts.
From a Latin American and feminist perspective, we are weaving a network of voices that have often been silenced or rendered invisible by the dominant art and cultural systems.
This project was born as a continuation of earlier experiences we initiated during the pandemic, centered in Chile — the country I come from. Now, based in the United States, I feel the need to continue these dialogues with artists from Latin America, Europe, and North America, expanding the boundaries of exchange.
In each episode, I speak with women about creation, motherhood, pleasure, artistic labor, working conditions, and support networks.
And while I speak from within the art world, this podcast is not only for artists.
I want to invite all women who work, who care for others, who sustain life in complex contexts.
Because the challenges of the art world — instability, invisibility, lack of recognition — are also the challenges many women face in other areas of life.
La Propia Network es un podcast que conduzco con el deseo profundo de conversar con mujeres artistas y creadoras que están generando pensamientos y posibilidades nuevas, desde distintos territorios y contextos. Desde una mirada feminista y latinoamericana, tejemos una red de voces que muchas veces han sido silenciadas o invisibilizadas por el sistema del arte y la cultura dominante. Este proyecto nace como una continuidad de experiencias anteriores que impulsamos durante la pandemia y que se centraron en Chile, pais del que provengo. Hoy, ya instalada en Estados Unidos, siento la necesidad de seguir dialogando con artistas de Latinoamérica, Europa y Norteamérica, ampliando las fronteras del intercambio. En cada episodio hablo con mujeres sobre creación, maternidad, placer, trabajo artístico, condiciones laborales y redes de apoyo. Y si bien hablo desde el arte, este podcast no es solo para artistas. Quiero invitar a todas las mujeres que trabajan, que cuidan, que sostienen la vida en contextos complejos. Porque las problemáticas del mundo del arte —la inestabilidad, la invisibilidad, la falta de reconocimiento— también son las de muchas mujeres en otros ámbitos.
